The MNCPA is a not-for-profit professional association with nearly 7,000 members. It supports members through education, advocacy, and other services.
As Director of Finance & Administration at the MNCPA, you:
Provide leadership and oversight of the financial affairs of the MNCPA and related MNCPA Foundation, including accounting systems, reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination.
Oversee investment policy, insurance contracts, and tax and regulatory compliance.
Lead senior management in risk analysis and strategies and disaster preparedness.
Act as CPA on staff for the AICPA peer review program administered for the states of MN and ND and as staff liaison for the professional ethics function.
Manage payroll, administer and serve as a fiduciary to the MNCPA 401k plan, and share responsibilities for human resource policies and compliance.
Have opportunities to interact with the AICPA, other state societies, Board of Accountancy, and MNCPA members through committees, conferences, teaching.
Requirements
Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree
CPA certification – active status
5+ years of experience
Advanced technical accounting knowledge, ability to apply business and financial concepts; leadership; good communication and presentation skills; strong database and Excel skills.
Preferred
5+ years of experience with not-for-profits.
Public accounting experience in auditing.
This is a full-time, exempt, position featuring a 37.50-hour workweek with great benefits, including health, dental, disability insurance, 401k employer match, and work-from-home options. The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 based on experience.
