Description
CrossState Credit Union Association (CrossState) is a regional trade Association serving credit unions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. CrossState is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative education professional to join our team as a Professional Development Program Specialist. This role will report to and work closely with the Senior Manager, Education & Events to lead the strategy, development, and execution of CrossState’s professional development and education programming. The position is responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences that align with member needs and organizational priorities across conferences, webinars, peer groups, and online learning platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of education content and programming across CrossState conferences, webinars, schools, and other professional development offerings, including managing agendas, content tracks, learning objectives, and speaker pipelines.
- Serve as the primary owner of peer group programming, including CEO peer groups and other role-based communities, coordinating agendas, facilitation support, and post-session follow-up.
- Oversee CrossState’s online learning platform, including content workflow, user support escalation, reporting, and recommendations for system and content improvements.
- Lead coordination and program support for key initiatives, including Emerging Leaders, Leadership School, CU Ambassador Program, and other member development opportunities.
- Recruit, brief, and manage relationships with speakers, moderators, facilitators, and education partners to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Monitor program participation, feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and recommend enhancements or new opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams and collaborate with Marketing & Communications to ensure alignment between educational programming, event logistics, and promotional content including session descriptions, speaker bios, and program messaging.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position would have a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in training, professional development, association education, conference programming, or a related field. Experience with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and speaker or program management is preferred. Credit union, trade association, or financial services industry experience is a plus.
