NFPA is looking to add a Warehouse Associate to the Engineering & Research team!
The NFPA Warehouse Associate ensures a reliable, accurate, and customer-focused fulfillment operation by preparing and shipping physical products, maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment, and supporting material needs across NFPA. This role collates, prepares, and packs customer orders; maintains accurate shipping records; and replenishes picking and shipping stations to keep daily operations running smoothly.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately using provided order documentation.
- Verify completed orders for accuracy and prepare shipments following established packing and labeling standards.
- Maintain supplies at packing and picking stations to support efficient daily workflow.
- Replenish inventory locations using provided stock instructions, ensuring items are stored neatly and accurately.
- Maintain accuracy of shipping labels, documentation, and tracking information to support on-time fulfillment.
- Support daily service level commitments for same-day or next-day shipping.
- Report any issues with warehouse equipment (forklifts, power jacks, lifts, scales) to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist with receiving and moving incoming materials, including non-inventoried items.
- Coordinate truck pickups by submitting shipment information through required systems.
- Perform other tasks that support the full order fulfillment operation as needed.
Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 13 years of related warehousing or fulfillment experience.
- Certified forklift operator license is obtainable within two years.
- Basic PC experience.
Skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to follow defined processes and standard practices.
- Ability to recognize when something is out of the norm and escalate for help.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions
- Normal warehouse working conditions.
- Must work in areas with a risk of electrical shock approximately 10% of the time.

- Follow all warehouse safety protocols, equipment procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Protect customer privacy and digital intellectual property by refraining from using mobile phones or personal devices on the production floor.

Salary ranges at NFPA are set by role and level, based on current competitive market data. Final compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including the specific skills, relevant experience, education, and training you bring to the role, as well as internal equity and business needs. For candidates whose qualifications align well with the role's requirements and expectations, offers are often made toward the minimum of the posted range. Exceptional qualifications or unique circumstances may result in placement higher in the range.
