The International Association of Chiefs of Police is seeking a dynamic and strategic Technology Program Manager to oversee the configuration, optimization, and daily management of the Nimble Association Management System (AMS), built on the Salesforce platform. This role supports membership operations, engagement activities, and core association business functions by ensuring the AMS environment is stable, accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational needs.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AMS platforms, a strong understanding of the full association lifecycle (membership, events, certifications, committees, eCommerce, and donations), and solid Salesforce administrative skills tailored to the Nimble environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Nimble AMS Administration
- Administer and configure the Nimble AMS platform, including Membership, Events, Subscriptions, Education Department, Products, eCommerce, Community Hub and other core modules.
- Manage user profiles, permissions, roles, and page layouts to ensure proper access and functionality.
- Maintain system configurations, including fields, objects, record types, workflows, flows, automation rules and page templates.
Salesforce Platform Management
- Perform standard Salesforce administrative tasks (reports, dashboards, validation rules, flows, data imports, troubleshooting).
- Keep the system current with Salesforce and Nimble AMS seasonal releases, assess impacts and coordinate updates.
- Ensure data integrity, maintain governance rules, and support cleanup, deduplication and quality assurance efforts.
Business Process Support
- Partner with membership, finance, events, marketing, and program teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical configurations.
- Optimize and document key processes such as membership renewal cycles, event registration, financial transactions and customer service workflows.
- Support staff training, create user documentation, and serve as the primary point of contact for AMS-related questions.
Data Integration & Reporting
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for operational teams and leadership using Power BI.
- Assist with data loads, migrations, and audits to support business initiatives.
- Experience with Workbench, IO Data Loader and Import Wizard.
- Monitor data quality and ensure compliance with organizational standards and privacy practices.
- Standard API integration knowledge helpful.
User Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide support for system issues, escalating to developers or vendors when needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Nimble AMS, Community Hub and related integrations.
- Communicate system changes, updates, and best practices to internal users.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for IT and general staff.
Vendor & Integration Coordination
- Collaborate with Nimble AMS support and Salesforce partners for escalated issues or enhancement requests.
- Assist with integrations between Nimble AMS/Salesforce and third-party tools such as marketing automation platforms, payment processors, financial systems and learning management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may also be considered.
- 2–4+ years of experience administering Salesforce systems; Salesforce Administrator certification strongly preferred.
- 2-4+ years of hands-on experience with Nimble AMS or another Association Management System (Nimble experience strongly preferred).
- Solid understanding of association business processes (membership cycles, dues, events, fundraising, committees, certifications).
- Experience working with Salesforce tools such as Flows, Process Builder, Reports & Dashboards, Data Loader, Workbench and Experience Cloud.
- Marketing Cloud configuration and use to produce broadcast emails.
- Knowledge of GeoPointe or related geographic querying software.
- Experience working with Power BI and NimbleAMS/Salesforce data sources.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and system troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an association, nonprofit, or membership-driven organization.
- General API integration knowledge desired.
- Familiarity with Community Hub configuration and customization.
- Experience with integrated platforms: marketing automation (Marketing Cloud, Pardot, HubSpot), financial systems (Intacct, Great Plains), or LMS systems.
- Basic understanding of Salesforce (Nimble) security, profiles, permission sets and sharing rules.
- Experience with Agile or iterative project environments.
Additional Requirements
Travel may be required a few times each year for IACP related conference and training.
