About this role:
The Technical Intern will support the Equipment Standards team with golf testing and research initiatives. This internship involves hands-on technical work, data management, and collaboration with golf facilities, requiring frequent travel. The ideal intern will bring strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively. The ideal intern is a skilled golfer, with an interest in golf performance. Experience with golf technology is a plus.
What you'll do:
- In partnership with Technician, conduct local and remote golf player testing, including data collection and analysis.
- Perform TrackMan launch monitor testing with amateur golfers.
- Support TrackMan Mega System testing at USGA Championships.
- Maintain, organize, and ship test equipment.
- Manage and archive test data systematically.
- Coordinate with golf facilities for site selection and scheduling of testing sessions.
- Utilize basic mechanical tools for equipment maintenance and testing.
Where you'll be:
This position will be based at our Pinehurst, NC campus on a hybrid schedule, with frequent travel. This is a 3-4 month internship assignment.
What you bring:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both independent and team settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in golf and technical content.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
- Experience with golf launch monitors such as TrackMan, GC Quad, or similar systems is a plus
- Highly skilled golfer with an in-depth understanding of golf performance and technology is a plus
The pay range for this internship is $17-20/hour.
