Wisconsin Northern & Central (WiNC) GME Consortium


The Wisconsin Northern and Central (WiNC) GME Consortium is a non-profit, mission-driven, regionally governed collaboration serving as the ACGME Sponsoring Institution for rural primary care residency programs across northern Wisconsin. We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Director to lead our organization into its next phase of growth.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide vision, leadership, and operational oversight for the WiNC GME Consortium
• Supervise staff and ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention
• Develop and manage the annual budget, grants, and funding opportunities
• Support and collaborate with the Board of Directors, DIO, and GMEC
• Ensure legal, regulatory, and ACGME compliance
• Lead strategic planning, innovation, and technology initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, medical schools, and community partners

Position Requirements

• MD, PhD, or master’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Five or more years of experience in graduate medical education or healthcare leadership preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, financial management, and strategic planning skills
• Strong communication, negotiation, and collaborative abilities
• Attend weekly in person meetings in Wausau, WI

Position Details
FTE: Full-time (part-time considered for a highly qualified candidate)
Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 (full-time), based on experience
