Description
The Executive Director (“ED”) serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and is responsible for providing strategic, operational, financial, and leadership oversight to advance the mission of providing high-quality legal services to underserved and vulnerable individuals. The ED works in close partnership with the Board of Directors to set organizational direction, ensure fiscal sustainability, maintain legal and ethical compliance, and lead a high-performing staff and volunteer team. The ED is the primary ambassador for the organization, responsible for cultivating relationships with funders, community partners, courts, government agencies, and the broader legal community.
Requirements
Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction consistent with the organization’s mission, values, and long-term goals. Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and initiatives in collaboration with the Board of Directors. Ensure organizational effectiveness, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Serve as the primary liaison between the Board and staff. This position will be the heart of our grant-seeking efforts, dedicated to cultivating and securing grant funders, and overseeing the grant lifecycle from prospect research and proposal writing to post-award reporting, including overseeing grant compliance and reporting.
