Position Summary:
The Executive Director of Digital Product Vision and Planning will lead the development and execution of digital product strategy across a diverse and high-impact portfolio, including Digital Pharmacy (CVS Pharmacy, Caremark, Specialty), Benefits Experiences (Aetna, Caremark, Open Platform), Health Services (MinuteClinic, Immunizations, Virtual Care), and Front Store (Omnichannel, Loyalty).
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Products, this role will shape the future of healthcare through technology-creating intuitive, engaging digital experiences that empower patients to manage prescriptions, understand benefits, navigate chronic conditions, and take control of their health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the digital strategic roadmap and vision across multiple portfolios, ensuring alignment with business objectives and consumer needs.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, providing insights into the health of the digital ecosystem and identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Champion outside-in thinking by leveraging market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to inform product roadmaps and investment decisions.
- Lead annual planning and prioritization to ensure focus on high-value initiatives and measurable outcomes.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across business, design, engineering, and marketing teams to drive a product creator mindset.
- Advocate for the voice of the customer by translating feedback and data into actionable strategies that enhance patient experience.
- Present and communicate actionable insights to executives and cross-functional partners to influence product roadmap decisions and strategic prioritization.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in digital product strategy, innovation, or transformation.
- Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives at scale in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire at all organizational levels.
- Digital product management and roadmap development
- Strategic planning and portfolio management
- Data analysis and interpretation for decision-making
- Market research and competitive analysis
- Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
- Financial acumen for budgeting and investment prioritization
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms (e.g., analytics dashboards, product management software)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance industries.
- Experience driving patient-centered design and continuous improvement.
- Track record of leveraging emerging technologies to enhance digital experiences.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$175,100.00 - $334,750.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
