The Executive Director of Elementary Education provides instructional and operational leadership, direction, and support for 13 elementary schools and the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program. The Executive Director of Elementary Education ensures the District’s commitment to equity is integrated into all facets of the elementary program.

Requirements

Possess or be eligible for a Washington Administrator Certificate.
Possess or be eligible for a current Washington State teaching certificate.
Master’s degree or higher in educational administration and/or curriculum and instruction, or related field.
Minimum five years of experience as a principal and/or educational director or leader in a related field preferred.
Significant experience at scale in leading innovation, teaching, curriculum, professional development and assessment.
Significant experience in working through multiple layers of management in organizations to achieve results.
Experience teaching youth under the age of 21 and leading adult learning experiences.
Experience working directly with people from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, ability and socio-economic backgrounds.
