The Georgia Association of Water Professionals, located in Marietta, GA, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Executive Director.

The responsibilities of the Deputy Executive Director will include project and contract management, committee and section support, legislative reporting and representation.  The Deputy will serve as acting Executive Director in the Director’s absence and will be expected to develop the qualifications necessary to serve in that capacity. This position will report to the Executive Director.

 The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Expertise in the water profession
• Reputation/name recognition/connection
• Knowledge/understanding of water policy issues and Federal/State legislative and regulatory processes
• Management experience: member association, business, volunteer, and personnel
• Ability to get along with people
