POSITION SUMMARY
The Career Navigator helps workforce development participants plan and pursue their career goals. This includes facilitating career assessments, developing career plans, matching applicants to our various training programs, connecting program graduates with job opportunities, providing job retention services, and maintaining current knowledge of industry and hiring trends. This role will help program graduates with their transition to registered apprenticeship opportunities in the construction and energy industries.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to program services and outcomes preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of workforce development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a diverse participant population.
- Experience in recruiting, assessing, enrolling, career coaching and placing participants strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Construction and Energy industries preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation and results orientation.
- Demonstrated sales skills strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekends to meet program operations and needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data entry.
